Since he first began practicing law over ten years ago, Jason Carroll has focused his practice on protecting the rights of injured workers before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Today, nearly one-hundred-percent of his practice is dedicated to representing injured workers. He has successfully litigated hundreds of cases involving back injuries, shoulder injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive trauma, and exposure. Jason has tried over one-hundred cases at the Commission and has also pursued and won appeals before the Commission, Circuit Courts and the Illinois Appellate Court.
Much of his practice involves representing union workers in the automotive field who are injured on the job. He has fought and successfully litigated countless cases against companies such as Ford Motor Company, Gordon Trucking, Tower Automotive, Walmart, and numerous other big corporations. He is not afraid to stand up to big insurance companies and fight for the rights of his clients. He has the background, knowledge and experience necessary to reach the best possible resolution of their claims.
Jason was raised in Northwest Indiana just outside of Chicago. He was raised to understand what a fair work environment can do to help a family. But he also knows what struggles can occur when an employer does not treat its employees fairly. His father was a proud union machinist and his mother has been teaching as long as he can remember. Having grown up in a union household, he does not take for granted the victories unions have fought for and won for their workers. He strives to continue that fight alongside not only his union clients but his non-union clients alike.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College of Indiana where he graduated with a double major in Political Science and American Studies. After graduation, he pursued and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association.
When he is not representing his clients before the Commission, Jason enjoys watching the White Sox and Blackhawks, and also enjoys working out and cooking in his spare time.

- $450,000.00 – Executive chef sustained burns to her arm from hot frying oil. Our client was not able to return to her prior profession and we were able to show she suffered a loss of earnings due to her injury and also obtained coverage for her future medical costs.
- $275,000 – Carpet installer sustained a back injury that was non-surgical in nature. In addition to a lump sum settlement, we also obtained over $750,000 in potential future medical benefits for necessary ongoing medical treatment.
- $250,000 – Automotive assembly line worker sustained repetitive trauma injury to his neck and hands. We tried this case twice at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission to obtain medical care and benefits that were denied by the employer. On both occasions, we were successful – even taking the case up to the Illinois Appellate Court to have his benefits reinstated when they were wrongfully terminated by this union employer.
- Life Time Weekly Benefits – Certified nursing assistant who sustained a back injury and was not able to return to her prior employment. This is another case we tried twice and won twice at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. We fought for and obtained vocational placement assistance as well as prior and future lost wages.
