Jerrod Olszewski is a valued labor and
employment attorney with the firm. Besides representing unions and
union members in all aspects of labor law, he works on cases arising
under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair
Labor Standards Act. He also represents union benefit funds under
ERISA prosecuting employers who are delinquent in paying their contributions
to the fund.
Jerrod has a background in social work. He has counseled individuals
with HIV-AIDS, including adolescents and homeless people, people with
DUIs, and has worked with children with HIV and AIDS. Jerrod was also
a union member from 1991 to 1993 when he worked as a concrete laborer
building expressway drainage systems.
Jerrod also worked full-time as a case manager and counselor at Cook
County Hospital, and later full-time at the firm while he earned his
Juris Doctor at John Marshall Law School in 2002, where he was editor
of the law review. Jerrod has an undergraduate degree in psychology
from Benedictine University (1993). In what's left of his free time,
Jerrod likes to fish, engage in carpentry projects, and relax with
his wife and son. |
