Jason Carroll joined the Workers’ Compensation practice of Katz Friedman in 2008. Prior to joining the firm, Jason worked at another Chicago law firm, concentrating his practice on Workers' Compensation matters representing injured workers before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission. He has successfully litigated many cases before the Commission involving back injuries, repetitive trauma, and other claims.

Jason earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2005. That same year, he was admitted to the Illinois Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College of Indiana in 2002 where he graduated with a double major in American Studies and Political Science. Although his practice now focuses on workers’ compensation, one of his proudest achievements was when his Motion to Reconsider a Deportation order was granted by the Immigration Judge, allowing his client eventually to gain permanent asylum in the United States.

When he is not representing his clients before the Commission, Jason enjoys cheering for his favorite sports teams, the Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks, and also enjoys playing hockey, working out and golfing in his spare time.
